    A Musical Tribute to the Legend Kishore Kumar on His 97th Birth Anniversary

    Mumbai, August 14, 2024- To honor the timeless legacy of Kishore Kumar on his 97th Birth Anniversary, a special tribute concert was recently held at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hall, Vile Parle, Mumbai. The event was a heartfelt celebration of the legendary singer’s unparalleled contributions to Indian music and cinema, bringing together his family, friends, and admirers for an evening of music, memories, and nostalgia.

    The occasion was graced by Kishore Kumar’s family, including his wife Leena Chandavarkar, his elder son Amit Kumar, and his younger son Sumeet Kumar, who took center stage to pay a musical tribute to his father. Sumeet Kumar enthralled the audience with soulful renditions of his father’s iconic songs, transporting everyone back to the golden era of Indian music.

    The event was organized by Veena Misra, Founder of Voice and Vision and a former newsreader at Doordarshan, in collaboration with Anil Bora Entertainment. Veena Misra, a long-time admirer of Kishore Da, spoke about the lasting impact of his music and the importance of keeping his legacy alive for future generations.

    The tribute concert saw the presence of several esteemed guests, including Ruhan Kapoor, son of the legendary singer Mahendra Kapoor, and members of Majrooh Sultanpuri’s family, who were there to honor the memory of the late poet and lyricist who had a close association with Kishore Kumar.

    Veena Misra expressed her gratitude to all those who attended and supported the event, highlighting the significance of celebrating Kishore Kumar’s life and work. “Kishore Da’s music transcends time, and his voice continues to resonate with millions. This event was our humble effort to keep his spirit alive and to share his magic with those who hold him dear,” she said.

    The evening was a fitting tribute to an artist who continues to inspire generations of musicians and music lovers. The presence of Kishore Kumar’s family, along with performances that echoed his unforgettable melodies, made the event an unforgettable homage to a true legend.
