The Holy month of Ramadan is always special for everyone. But this year, Ramadan 2022 is very special for everyone. This Ramadan month is different from the last two years after a lot of challenging times due to the Covid pandemic. Everyone is back to normal but with precautions. As we’re in the Islamic year of 1441 Hijri, Ramadan 2022 is followed up with the fight against Covid Pandemic. Muslims during the Holy month follow up with Roza (Fasting), Namaz (Praying), and Zakat (Charity) with full faith towards the Almighty God. People constantly acknowledge doing Zakat (Charity) during the Holy Month of Ramadan. The famous Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia Dargah in Delhi is always up with doing arrangements for everyone.
Syed Anis Nizami, Head in charge of the Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia Dargah tells us that arrangements for Roza iftar are done at Dargah Sharif. But with precautions and following the government guidelines for covid. Preparations and distribution of food (Langar) are done daily at Dargah Sharif. As he tells that this was the legacy of Sufi Saint Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia (R.A) which is followed at Dargah Sharif.
“Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia (R.A), the Sufi saint started the distribution of the food and langar himself which is continued by the committee of Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia Dargah.” Syed Anis Nizami added.
He also told us that Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia Dargah always feeds up to over 4000-5000 people during normal days and food is being prepared in the courtyard of the Dargah Sharif for the people and pilgrims. This year tents are being set up during Ramadan at Dargah Sharif. The Roza iftar will be arranged for the devotees and charities across Delhi are endeavoring differently to help the needy amid the pandemic situation. The Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia Dargah’s committee was providing the Iftari (food) with proper hygiene to the doorsteps of needy people during Covid times. This time also they are continuing this and also arranging at Dargah Sharif.
The Sufi Saint, Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia (R.A) used to feed the poor and needy people without any discrimination, and even now thousands are given food every day in Dargah’s courtyard to continue his legacy. People of all religions come here to pray and they have full faith in the Sufi Saint as they get what they seek from the Lord with the help of The Sufi Saint. The doors of Dargah Sharif are open for the public but we’re trying to do the best we can to continue his legacy and this year’s focus is to be doing something more for the needy people and we’ll pray from to the Almighty God for ending this pandemic situation soon. I ask every Muslim to follow this and stay safe, he added.
