    Lakshay Dua – A teen author launches his debut book “Teen! Teen! Thirteen”

    Young authors of India are slowly gaining more recognition, as their voices present a new perspective on various everyday topics and their originality makes for novels are profound and inspiring. One such young author from Gurgaon Haryana, Lakshay Dua made a name for himself with his debut book “Teen! Teen! Thirteen” – A must-read for every Teen, Youth, and Parent.

    Lakshay’s 1st book is launched on 24th December 2023 in an event Hum Hain Rahi Pya Ke organized by Nayi Subah Nayi Soch in Gurgaon. Book was launched by honourable Dr. Ashok Diwakar- Ex. Vice Chancellor- Starex University. Guests presented in the event who honoured and appreciate Lakshay for this remarkable achievement were Capt. Depinder Kataria- Ex. Indian Army, Mrs. Usha Kataria- Principal KS Modern School, Ms. Renu Sethi- Principal Lady Florence Convent School Basai Road Gurgaon, Mr. Alok Arora- Sabka Sahyog Society Gurugram, Mr. Jagdish- RSS President Gurgaon Distt, Ms. Rinki Ambavta- PGT English (Lakshay’s English Teacher) and Ms. Abhilasha- Coordinator Joy of Helping & Project Founder Kitaab Kosh.

    India’s literary spaces is an ever-expanding era for fresh voices, inventive stories, and unhindered writing. Lakshay Dua, a 16-year-old student of class XI through his diversity and creativity has collectively crafted his journey towards adulthood into a book.

    After experiencing 3 years of teenage he has run across a lot of confusions, emotions and situations. Though he assumed that a teenage life is the most beautiful phase of one’s life but it turned out to be a rollercoaster. The book “Teen! Teen! Thirteen” is about the life of teenagers, their experiences, expectations and the role of parents in the journey.

    Lakshay’s philosophy of life is “Accept change as a constant in life, because it brings with it new opportunities. Each performance in life’s

    theatre has been created by the joint efforts of those who believed in us.”

    Lakshay feels blessed to find a mentor in her mother who is a professional child counsellor and the bonding of mother and son duo made it easier for Lakshay to understand the teenage journey experiences.

    Apart from being a writer Lakshay dons several caps. He has remained a winner in multiple painting competitions and Medals in the Olympiad at school level. Being ace in studies Lakshay secured the Top Rank in school for Cambridge Examination in standard 6.

    Recently he has also been Awarded with the Bhasha Doot Samman 2023 for exemplary performance in Hindi Language on Bhartiya Bhasha Diwas by Ex. President of India Honourable Ram Nath Kovind Ji.

    In the words of Lakshay Dua, “I feel life is like a blank canvas and we are the ones who can paint the life canvas as we want and as it comes”

    Lakshay Dua is a bright commerce student in class XI of S.D. Memorial School Gurgaon who approaches life with a simple outlook and a belief in living each day to the fullest. A teenager who is a true student but doesn’t take hurdles too seriously but consider them a learning for life.

    Lakshay enjoys sketching various hues on canvases, and he gets excited to hold a pen or pencil anytime he spots a blank sheet of paper. Undoubtedly, a wonderful creative material who prefers to spend more time by himself and spends much of his time alone.

    Lakshay has dedicated his debut book “Teen! Teen! Thirteen” to his grandfather who is not with him to witness his success. The book soon will be available on Amazon and various bookstores.
