Muskaan Agarwal, known for her roles in Shraap, Graduate With First Class (Atrangii), Paurashpur (ALTT), Chumbhak (Atrangii), Love Guru (Ullu), Namkeen Kisse (ALTT), and Char Saheliyaan, never initially planned to enter the entertainment industry.

“I am a clinical physiologist by profession, and entering the entertainment industry was never part of my original plan. I came to Mumbai solely for my studies, with no intentions of pursuing a career in this field. However, fate had other plans for me,” Muskaan shared.

    A Serendipitous Entry into Acting

Muskaan recalls how her journey into the industry began unexpectedly. “It all started when I auditioned for a role purely for fun, without any serious aspirations. To my surprise, I got selected, and that marked the beginning of my journey in this field.”

    Bold Roles and Industry Recognition

While Muskaan has played a variety of roles, it was her bold performances that brought her into the limelight. “Over time, I have portrayed a variety of genuine characters, but I was truly noticed when I took on a bold role. That performance garnered significant attention, and since then, my journey in the industry has been going well,” she explained.

    Changing Trends in the Industry

Muskaan has worked on several projects for Atrangii and various episodic television shows. However, she has observed a shifting trend in the entertainment industry. “People do not always appreciate good performances. The industry today leans more toward bold content, as it tends to attract greater recognition and viewership,” she noted.

    Overcoming Challenges and Early Struggles

Reflecting on her early days, Muskaan shared a particularly challenging experience. “I still vividly remember the first time I went to work on a set. On that very day, a burglary took place at my house, and prior to that, I had been receiving numerous phone calls. Despite the situation, I proceeded with my work. From the very start of my career, I have been associated with bold roles, so I did not find them particularly challenging to portray.”

Pride in Boldness and Industry Perception

Muskaan embraces her image as a bold artist and believes such roles require confidence and experience. “I take pride in playing bold characters. In today’s time, actors who embrace bold avatars often gain fame, as seen in the case of Tripti Dimri. I consider myself a bold artist, and I believe that while actors can take on both positive and negative roles, performing bold scenes requires a certain level of experience and confidence.”

She further elaborated, “Being called a ‘bold actress’ is a recognition of the confidence and versatility I bring to my roles. For me, boldness is not just about the characters I portray but also about the courage to take on diverse and challenging roles that push boundaries. Acting is an art, and I embrace every opportunity to express emotions and tell compelling stories. If being bold means being fearless in my craft, then I take it as a compliment.”

    Looking Ahead: Exploring New Horizons

Despite her success, Muskaan remains eager to explore new and diverse roles. “That being said, I am actively looking for a good project that challenges me in new ways. However, I am thoroughly enjoying the work I am currently doing. I aspire to expand my presence across various OTT platforms and explore diverse opportunities.”

    Aspirations and Personal Motivations

Looking ahead, Muskaan is determined to leave a lasting impact in the industry. “My long-term ambition is to establish my own name in the industry and carve out a special place in people’s hearts. Beyond my professional aspirations, there are many things I wish to accomplish for my mother, as she holds the most important place in my life,” she concluded.
